Get to know Carla…
What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?
I moved to Boulder in 1990 after leaving Flaggstaff AZ.. I had been attending a Vineyard for a couple years and at that time Vinelife was a Vinyard, so I thought I would check it out. I felt like I was “home,” the minute I walked in the door.
Why did you stay?
It felt like family
What was your first step in getting involved at Vinelife?
I joined a home group and I served in the nursery
Where have you plugged in at Vinelife?
Children’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Freedom Ministries, Local and Global missions, Vinelife University,
One of your proudest moments?
Every moment that one of my daughter’s is doing what she is created for.
What inspires you?
Watching God encounter people’s hearts and spirits with love and truth.
Who inspires you?
Almost everyone inspires me.
What makes you laugh?
I love really funny movies
What’s a current indulgence for you?
Working in my garden.
What is one goal you have for the next year?
Personal Goal – To continue to grow in the awareness of how loved I am & remain in gratitude.
Missional Goal – To help bring in the first wave of harvested souls from Boulder.

What are you passionate about now, that you used to not care about?
Dreaming with people. Bringing healing and mentoring to people so that they can fulfill their destinies.

What’s something new that you’re learning in your job that has surprised you?
If something looks “put together” & easy, it probably took a lot of planning.

Any day that’s not too busy.

Passion. Lover of God. Personal Integrity – Honest with themselves and others. Someone who will roll up their sleeves and work through the hard stuff. A sense of humor helps.
What’s something new that you’ve learned about the Bible lately, that has surprised you?
That someone is currently attempting to write a more accurate English translation.
What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?
All of the qualities I listed for choosing a close friend and…I believe a good leader finds out what “turns on,” those who are serving with them and either creates or releases them in to their platform.

Carrots and humus
If you could have lunch with a famous person, who would it be and why?
Mother Theresa – I would like to ask her questions about her devotion to Jesus and the grace that she must have experienced to live a life of such incredible sacrifice, humility and service.
