What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?
Vacation. Colorado is much more scenic than Indiana.
Why did you stay?
Came back a couple years later in 2002 to join a young adult internship called ninthour.
What was your first step in getting involved at Vinelife?
After my internship, I came on staff as the associate youth pastor.
Where have you plugged in at Vinelife?
One of your proudest moments?
Getting married to my beautiful wife Megan
What inspires you?
The church in action, art, film, music, thunderstorms
Who inspires you?
Bono, Steve Jobs, Donald Miller, Ray Hughes, Louie Giglio, St. Francis of Assisi
What makes you laugh?

Cherry Cricket Burger with fried egg on top
What’s your day job?
Associate Pastor at Vinelife.
Your idea of a perfect day?
Solitude in morning, a good workout, play with the kids, read for a while, Dinner with friends, frozen yogurt with the family

Your childhood ambition?
To be a doctor and a fireman….at the same time.

Trust, humor, honesty
What’s something new that you’ve learned about the Bible lately, that has surprised you?
First book of the Bible to be written was Job.
What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?
Relational, Humble, Passionate, Creative, Driven, Funny

Ruffles and French onion dip…..what can beat that?
If you could have lunch with a famous person, who would it be and why?
The Edge from U2 to ask him if I could join the band.
What’s one goal you have for the next year?
To write consistently on my blog and in other venues.
What is your definition of a retreat?
Several days in the mountains with my wife and friends. Unscheduled days. Just enough planning to make it a reality, but not so much that it sucks the life out of each day.
What has God been showing you lately that has surprised you?
The intensity of his heart for adoption.
What’s your biggest challenge?
There’s only one of me.
If you were given an extra hour in a day to do whatever you want, what would you do?

I’m a woman. kidding.

A jambox – a wireless, bluetooth speaker that connects with my phone. I like tech toys.

Just adopted a brand new baby boy!
