Get to know Walt:

What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?

In 1981, I was one of two founding pastors of a fellowship in Boulder that eventually became the Vineyard under the leadership of James Ryle. In 1993, James asked me to join his staff and in 1999 when James resigned as Senior Pastor of what had then become Vinelife, I became the Senior Pastor.

What inspires you?

Worship and the presence of the Lord. Truly, in His presence is fullness of joy!�?

Who is your greatest inspiration?

That would be Jesus

What is one goal you have for the next year?

Go back to Africa

What’s your day job?

I’ve had people wonder if it was golf! Not so! It’s answering emails, writing messages, praying and taking care of our Vinelife Family.

What is your definition of a retreat?

A swing by a Colorado stream

What has God been showing you lately that has surprised you?

That I’m not too old to ride a bicycle

If you were given an extra hour in a day to do whatever you want, what would you do?

Swim in the ocean.

What makes you laugh?

A good joke and the presence of the Lord resting on me.

What have you read recently that really inspired or excited you?

On a recent trip -Road sign: Ft. Lupton 44 miles. (it meant I was almost home)

What’s God doing in your life that you are celebrating right now?

Letting me help Pastor Willy in Rwanda.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I like the Beach Boys music.

What are you passionate about now, that you used to not care about?

The people of Africa.

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?

Integrity, humility, and passion for the Lord.
